UPDATE March 3, 2006

The latest word is that these printers won’t be available until perhaps August of this year. That’s a long time between announcement and delivery, so hopefully we will see them sooner.

Canon’s official release from Feb 21 explains and introduces two new 13″ wide printers!

Canon Pixma Pro9000 – 8 color dye inks using the ChromaLife system.

Canon Pixma Pro9500 – 10 color using the Lucia pigment based inkset.

Things are about to get interesting in the 13″ pro-format market with the introduction of these new printers. As always, Red River will quickly obtain copies of these printers for compatibility review and print-life testing with our papers.
