Pens for Signing Your Prints

Here are some suggestions for archival pens to sign your inkjet prints.  You’ll need a pen like these if you print on photobase glossy or satin papers.

  1. Good information. I never really thought about using an archival ink pen to sign a photo. Do fine art photographers typically sign the front of their prints? I don’t think I’ve noticed many signatures on photos.

  2. My clients get a thank you card with their baby’s photograph printed on Aurora Fine Art paper, signed with a Waterman fountain pen. To be honest, I’m not sure if the ink is archival quality, but I have no illusions of how long they keep the card :)

  3. Thank you so much for posting this information! I am writing notes in my Christmas Cards, this will really really help. :) I love the idea of using a nice art pencil for writing, I think the texture of the paper will really make it look great.
